Recent Events.

During the past twelve months many activities have taken place such as:

Sponsored Walk.

Many pupils, staff and parents walked the 10km course along the Leeds - Liverpool Canal on a lovely June afternoon to raise approximately £1800. The money collected was divided between the schools' Community Projects Programme and also The Strand Crèche at Bootle New Strand, which received £750.

Presentation Evening.

Every year a Presentation Evening is held in early November to present last year’s pupils with their well-earned GCSE certificates. There are also many internal prizes such as Citizenship awards, Key Stage 3 awards, and sporting trophies for other pupils who are still at school. The guest speaker this year was Carol Hopwood, an ex-pupil of St. George Of England, who is currently working with Gregory Abram Solicitors.

Christmas Service

This years Christmas service was held on 15th of December and was well attended by pupils and parents.

School Production - Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Coat.

Another successful school production took place at the end of the Easter term. Stuart Maher and Christopher Kimpton shared the lead role. Other lead parts were played by Mr. Wilson as the Pharaoh and Mr Blaney as Jacob, Joseph's father. Many staff worked behind the scenes producing costumes, stage scenery, and make-up. All four performances were well attended and a performance was also given to the years 5 & 6 from our local Primary schools who thoroughly enjoyed their afternoon.
